In today’s fast-paced world, recognition often depends on visibility. Yet, many groups are still left behind—lacking a voice to articulate their struggles. That is where Back To Basics steps in: to fill the gap and provide a platform, especially for women striving to make a living through waste-picking despite the enormous challenges they face.
This morning, Back To Basics hosted a breakfast meeting with women eco-ambassadors. The meeting created a space for them to share their experiences, highlight their challenges, and find motivation as they transform waste into a source of livelihood. Their efforts are not only about survival but also about contributing to a sustainable environment and a clean planet.

Empowering these women’s voices is crucial. Motivation and support are key drivers in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), tackling pollution, and turning discarded materials into meaningful products.

This milestone marks a significant step toward building an empowered community—one where women are at the forefront of creating a clean ecosystem that enables everyone to live a happy, healthy life. We are guided by the Back To Basics slogan: “I am not waste until I am wasted.”

Securing our future requires collective action. We must all join the movement against pollution, innovate ways to turn waste into resources, and educate the world on safe disposal practices. Together with Back To Basics, we can inspire positive change across our families, partners, colleagues, communities, nations, and ultimately, our planet at large.
